What is an Assessment Report?
An assessment report is a document that summarizes the results of an evaluation. It is used to improve internal procedures by highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of an organization. It is usually written by an external party however, it could also be produced internally. Assessments are usually performed as part of training and development programs or as part of a wider company performance review.
The assessment report should clearly detail the results of the evaluation, and what actions were taken to address these findings. They should be easy-to-read and include a combination of images and text to convey information. They should also consider the design principles of the organization to ensure that they’re well presented and are in line with the brand.
Evaluation of a program isn’t about identifying if students have met the requirements for admission however, it is more about determining how they have developed in time and whether the curriculum has succeeded in enhancing student outcomes. Annual academic program assessment reporting is one way to show this. Assessment reports show that programs are evaluating their curriculum, and demonstrating ongoing improvement and making adjustments to practices as the results of previous assessments are analyzed.
